You are so right, BR, MLK did do much for uniting people of all colors/shades! It sure must have taken some guts to stand up for the right thing. You know, it wasn't a popular thing to do, but now look at the results! Is that cool-or what?

Hello M, I am sooooo glad that you like him. You know, I just happened to get that book over the summer BEFORE I, myself, learned of Walter Dean Myers! Later in the summer I read, "Love That Dog!"

I hope "Boy" is a good book. Let me know. Is it sad, funny, serious? I do know an interesting fact by Walter Dean Myers, his illustrator is his SON! Isn't that really neat? Here's his personal website:
http://www.walterdeanmyers.net/ I'm going to post this on the blog, too.

Does everyone have their person? Did you check all of the links? Remember, once you get your person of interest, you can Google their name for even more research than what's on the blog. Let me know how it's going. I really want y'all to enjoy the exciting process of researching and creating a class book. Happy researching.

Oh, My Goodness, you are all so old maturing quickly! Imagine that-you're doing RESEARCH! Wow! Look how fast. I can't believe the year is almost over!
