Hello, Miss reed how are you doing today.

tomas said...

Hello Miss Reed how are you doing.

radiantreaders said...

Yes, FCATEXPLORER is cool! I hear that they added the 8th grade science to it. Keep reading and practicing. Do you enjoy Reading Plus? Which one do you guys like better? Has anyone been on Riverdeep? Enjoy.

radiantreaders said...

Hello Tomas, I am fine-I missed the note. How was the science project? Did you enjoy it? Are you learning a lot? Are you bored? Let me know what you liked and didn't like. See you in class. Science Rules! So does reading, math, language arts, social studies, and everything else that helps us learn! Let's just say, "Learning Rules!"

tomas said...

Thanks Miss Reed for the comment that you sent me.

radiantreaders said...

Hi Tomas, I am curious as to how your science fair experience is going? How's all of that writing for you? I'd like to copy your science journal to use as an example, if you don't mind. Thanks for the reply-how about answering some of those questions I had. :)

hi miss reed how are you doing?i am doing great.i took 8 hours studying.well i'll talk later bye.

radiantreaders said...

Hi Maria, Yea, I left off the 'hasta' part-trying to add a little "Spanglish" to my vocabulario. :) Have a great weekend.

radiantreaders said...

Wow, Ignacio-you're studying? What are you studying for EIGHT hours? That's a lot of time. :) Are you enjoying yourself? How about the class? Are you enjoying the class and our school? I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed Esio Trot, but did you read the whole thing? If not, finish reading it-you'll enjoy it and you'll feel great after finishing the book. It's a little goofy. The next book we'll be reading this marking period is much thicker, but probably more realistic. Well, see you Tuesday. Enjoy.

radiantreaders said...

Hello All, Remember why we have off Monday. Dr. Martin Luther King stood for the right thing to do even when it wasn't popular. His actions and words of love, friendship, and peace will be remembered. We have off to honor his memory and learn from mistakes made in history. Enjoy and have a great weekend. Peace IN (We don't want peace OUT) :)

Dear Miss Reed,
Mrs. Howell forwarded your message to me. And what a delightful message it was! I am so glad to hear of the interest in spiders shown by your class. There are many sources of information about spiders in libraries and the internet. Unfortunately, as you found out, not all of them are accurate. I would recommend for Florida spiders a book by myself and Sam Marshall entitled “Florida’s Fabulous Spiders.” It is available at modest cost from most major bookstores. You should also know that the only dangerous spiders in Florida are the widow spiders, so even though there are larger spiders capable of breaking the skin and causing a reaction similar to a bee sting, they are not truly dangerous.

I hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you have further questions. I would like to have updates on how the class is doing with the spiders.
Best wishes,

hi people if u can do me a huge favore can live a coment about the sciens i need the conclusion and other things please do it as fast as you can PLEASE! ! ! ! ! ! ! FROM:stiven TO: radiant readers

radiantreaders said...

Hello Stiven, the conclusion just tells what the class concluded (what we found)at the end of the experiment. So, if you think about it, you'll know exactly what we discovered-right? If you recall, we tested three types of grain to see which one was most absorbant (held the most water). Do you remember? That's your conclusion! It's that simple. We can just write: "The class concluded that...was the most absorbant." If you still need assistance, you can see me during lunch bunch. :)

radiantreaders said...

Angel, I would LOVE to see you blog about all of (or some of) those interesting topics you share during parent pick-up. You have so much information and you know many details about a great deal of topics, but you seem to get online and say, "Hi, Hello, Bye." I liked your comment about FCAT Explorer and about the cool websites. They're great to add to your blog. The idea is to get people writing back about something you wrote and if you have your own blog (which you've created) then you will want to get people to want to visit it. Maria has had visits to her blog. Keep it going! You definitely added comments to the right place. :) See you tomorrow.

Hi Stiven, I have energy, too. Maybe, it's because we're going to be off tomorrow. What do you think? I am glad that you are enjoying the blog and the websites. If you particularly found something interesting, make sure you comment about it so others will know, too. Thanks. Have a great day.

Unknown said...

dose anybody need help with tesssalation.

Unknown said...

i am glad 2 help.

radiantreaders said...

I am so glad to hear that you're happy to help. I'm sure that someone needs a partner for practicing their multiplication tables, or maybe a reading buddy with the chapter book. You know, maybe you can have a partner and take turns reading over the phone or at each other's house. Maybe, you guys could agree to write a comment about each page you read, or each chapter.

radiantreaders said...

Hey, what does everyone think about Rosa Rita!? :)

Unknown said...

thanks for the comment miss reed

Unknown said...

those are good ideas
i am going to reed staying nine.
have a good day miss reed.

radiantreaders said...

I think that they're good ideas, but I don't know if anyone else thinks so. You know teachers-we're always thinking of ways to help kids learn and learn to love learning! I love the videos, too. So, what's everyone think of Rosa Rita??? No comments?!?!?!? She's a character-really!

radiantreaders said...

Tomorrow we will have a tornado/severe weather drill!

radiantreaders said...

Don't forget 100 items and paper plates! Also, Valentine's Day goodies/cards are cool. Also, this Saturday 1:00-4:00 is another family day at Biscayne National Park. Remember, we're in the year of the Coral Reef!!!!!!!!

Here's the site to visit it! http://www.nps.gov/bisc/ Enjoy!

radiantreaders said...

Valeria, that was very generous. I'm sure someone wants a partner-if not, I'll be a reading partner! Some people might not be allowed on the blog, yet. Did you create your own blog? Have you visited Maria's? It's cool-she's done a lot with technology. Well, see you Monday. :)

Unknown said...

Hello, Maria and I are on the blog in class. It's rainy day dismissal. What are you doing? We're talking about Rosa Rita!

radiantreaders said...

Stiven, I look forward to hearing about other things you're discovering. I am very glad to hear that your family is observing with you. Enjoy the experience!

radiantreaders said...

Valeria, you're giving away secrets! mwahahahhahahaha. The math problems weren't that hard... Just things like the fraction of triangles, trapezoids, rombusses, and hexagons in a hexagon. I also asked for the fraction of trapezoids in a group. Now, that's not too hard... Muy facil. Did I say that right? Now, THAT'S hard!

Unknown said...

hahahahaha now that is (my) evil laugh yes miss reed you are right:)it is muy facil. good spanish or should I say espanol and again mahahahama .bye:)

radiantreaders said...

Yes, Valeria, you are right in noticing how easy fractions can be. Fear not! :) (Not even my laughter!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Next week, we'll be crunching during crunch time. We'll probably be crinching and cronching, too! Do you like my newly made up words? teehee teeha!

radiantreaders said...

Okay, Everybody, here's a math problem for you...

If it is 4:50 p.m. now, how long ago did you leave school? Time is ticking...

radiantreaders said...

Remember to celebrate your president on Monday and remember to get lots of facts on him! Tell us really cool stuff, so that we're not bored stiff. zzzzzzzz

Remember, tell his birthplace and birthdate, his family history, a few facts about his family members, his education and jobs, his accomplishments, and some fun, interesting, and/or funny details about his life. Make it exciting to learn! :) Include pictures on each card (follow the Rubric-checklist) and a portrait on the plate. Have fun and happy learning. I can't wait to see how much smarter you'll be on Tuesday!

radiantreaders said...

Yes, Everybody, did you hear that?
Make sure you go to www.radiantparents.blogspot.com for cool presidential websites. Just click on the left side where it says: "Links". Tell your parents all about it. Their page is a little prettier than ours. I guess. What do you think?

Unknown said...

miss reed you make our parents a nicer blog how could you
:( or :)?

gokubrian said...

miss reed i am doing my president's homework

gokubrian said...

hi people when you want to do a project go to wikipedia.com.i thought that it was going to a funny thing and poped out and it was stuff like your president thing

Our Radiant Readers' Radiant Readings: said...

Hi BR, I'm glad to hear about the project! Wikipedia is cool, but the links that I put on the blog are more than enough and they are specifically for kids. The history channel has pictures and videos for you to watch. They're listed under the President information on the right side of the blog-there's also information on the parent blog. Make sure you leave time for the lunar eclipse tonight! I'm posting it now.

It's normal to feel a little weird. It's here, you've come to that time in your life when you are no longer a little kid. It is really a good thing. Remember all of the things read in and out of class, remember to think, and to pay attention to what you are reading. You can always reread to clarify and you can go back to check for the answers. Keep yourself interested in the stories, poems, and articles. Do your best and get plenty of sleep!
